Spartans lose by 10 to East Rowan

The Spartans traveled to East Rowan after coming off of a hard one run loss the night before to Glenn.  The Mustangs took an early lead in the second inning via a sacrifice fly to Matt McConnell, who threw a laser beam to second base to make a close controversial play, which was ultimately ruled safe.  Close, controversial plays turned out to be the theme of the night, happening multiple times throughout the game.  The next Spartans at bat, Cole Penn lead off the top of the third with a solo home run to tie the game.  The game stayed tied until the 4th inning until Mount Tabor's Montana Dawson hit another Spartan solo home run to take the lead 2-1.  The bottom of the 4th was plagued by two back-to-back errors and two Mustang hits to take the lead 3-2.  The game stayed still until the bottom of the sixth when the Mustangs had a big 9 run inning forcing the ten-run-rule on the Spartans winning 12-2.
