Jamie Nunn No-Hits Reagan. Callahan Hits Walk-Off Three Run Homer! Spartans Win Big 10-0.
In what was the most complete game of the year, the Spartans offense continued its hot hitting while the defense was flawless, backing Jamie Nunn's 56 pitches and a "No No" at Carl R. Sapp Field on Wednesday night. Nunn was smooth, looking as relaxed as he has all year. His control was fine-tuned and his defense was making all the plays, including Cole Penn picking a couple out of the dirt at first to keep Nunn's no no alive. The entire line up hit....again, which is the key reason the Spartan's have scored 49 runs in their four game winning streak. One through nine, the Spartan's are a threat lately. Matt McConnell put one out over the right field fence to spark the first. Dawson belted a couple more doubles. But it was Neal Callahan's blast to center in the botom of five that sent the Raiders home.....A two out, walk-off three run homer that scored Gordon and Parmasano and ended the game, securring a much needed conference win for the Spartans. Morton, Ronan, Penn and Nunn all added hits for the Spartans. The Spartans face another tough conference foe Friday, Davie, at Rich Park. JV starts at 5pm followed by varsity. The Spartiac Kids are looking for revenge after Davie took the first meeting at Carl R. Sapp field two weeks ago 11-9 in eight innings. This one will be worth the $5 admission. Go Spartans!
